Customer Alert - eyeslipsface.com

We have learned that some of our customers received e-mails from an unauthorized and unknown source regarding the website eyeslipsface.com. We want you to know that Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com are not affiliated with eyeslipsface.com or the e.l.f. product line, nor with any e-mail regarding that website or product line. Nordstrom does not sell e.l.f. products.

In general, you should always use caution and verify the authenticity of any website before providing information over the Internet. Also be aware of e-mails from unknown sources as they may contain a link to a fraudulent website specifically set up to capture and fraudulently use personal or account information. These websites are sometimes called "mirror" sites and may give the appearance of the true website.

Please know that Nordstrom would not ask for your account information through e-mail communication. If you receive an e-mail asking for any personal or account information appearing to be from Nordstrom, or is claiming affiliation with Nordstrom, please forward the information to onlinefraud@nordstrom.com or call us at 1-888-282-6060.

If you think you may have disclosed your account information in error or have been a victim of fraudulent account activity, please contact your bank and/or credit card company immediately.

Fraud Scheme - Global Evaluation & Marketing Services

We recently learned that a company identifying itself as Global Evaluation and Marketing Services has contacted at least one customer in an attempt to solicit information from the recipient. The company provides a check appearing to be from Nordstrom and asks the recipient to participate in an alleged Consumer Research Program for payment.

We want you to know that Nordstrom is not affiliated with Global Evaluation and Marketing Services and has not authorized these activities. A third party is using the Nordstrom name without permission, and we would never provide payment for vendor services in this manner.

If you have responded to such a mailing or provided any personal information, you may have compromised your personal identity. Please take all necessary precautions to safeguard yourself and your financial information. You may wish to contact a credit reporting agency, your bank, your local law enforcement and the Federal Trade Commission online at: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt127.shtm. You may also contact Nordstrom at 1-888-282-6060.

Email Scheme - Corporate Charitable Donations

During times of crisis, Nordstrom recognizes how important it is to help those in need, and we know that many of our customers feel the same way. Unfortunately, during such situations, there are often increased reports of fraudulent activity and attempts to collect personal or financial information through e-mail solicitations. Some of these schemes may even claim affiliation with Nordstrom in a deceptive effort to collect donations. These fraudulent e-mails likely will ask for personal information and sensitive financial information.

We want you to know that Nordstrom does not solicit charitable donations in this manner, nor would we request any personal or financial information from our customers through e-mail.

If you receive an e-mail asking for personal or financial information that appears to be from Nordstrom or claims affiliation with Nordstrom, please forward it to onlinefraud@nordstrom.com or call us at 1-888-282-6060. We take these matters and the protection of our customers' sensitive information very seriously.

Fraud Alert - Nordstrom Careers, Inc. / CareerBuilder.com

We have recently learned of individuals receiving fraudulent recruiting e-mails stating they are from Nordstrom Careers, Inc. in conjunction with CareerBuilder.com. These e-mails are an attempt to solicit information and/or money from the e-mail recipient by offering an employment opportunity cashing checks on behalf of Nordstrom.

Neither Nordstrom, Inc. nor CareerBuilder have authorized or are involved in these activities. A third-party is using the names of Nordstrom and CareerBuilder without permission. Nordstrom has reported this fraudulent activity to the Federal Trade Commission.

Should you receive a similar communication, please contact the Federal Trade Commission online at:

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt127.shtm

If you have responded or previously provided any personal information, you may have compromised your personal identity. Please take all necessary precautions to safeguard yourself and your financial information. You may choose to contact a credit reporting agency to obtain a copy of your credit report and place a fraud alert on your credit file.
