WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Name of Product: Taggies™ Sleep’n Play Infant Garments
Units: About 6,200
Importer: Rashti & Rashti, of New York, N.Y.
Hazard: The snaps on these garments can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported
Description:  The recall involves two Taggies™ Sleep ‘n Play style infant garments sold in purple or blue and white with style number listed in chart. The infant garments are one piece footed coveralls with snaps down the front. These garments were sold in sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months, and 6-9 months.  RN #27829 is printed on the care label sewn into the garment.  Style numbers are printed on the hangtag of the garments.

Sold at:  Nordstrom, and other specialty stores and internet retailers nationwide from June 2007 through May 2008 for about $20.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take these garments away from children and contact Rashti & Rashti to receive a refund.

Nordstrom Recalls Girls' Sandals Due to Choking Hazard

The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Nordstrom Cadence-Lea and Trio-Lea Girl's Sandals

Units: About 1,500     Retailer: Nordstrom, Inc. of Seattle, Wash

Manufacturer: Meyeworld, of Hicksville, N.Y.

Hazard: The flower embellishments on the sandals can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The recalled girl's sandals are leather with attached leather flowers and were sold under the "Cadence-Lea" and "Trio-Lea" names. "Cadence-Lea" sandals are white, light green or silver. "Trio-Lea" sandals are white or silver. They were sold in girls' sizes 5 through 12. Nordstrom is printed on the sandals.

Sold exclusively at: Nordstrom stores nationwide from March 2008 through May 2008 for about $30.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should take the recalled sandals away from children immediately and return the sandals to any Nordstrom store for a full refund.

Product Recall: Micros Boys' Hooded Sweatshirts

URGENT GEAR MICROS BOYS' HOODED SWEATSHIRTS
NO INJURIES REPORTED

Urgent Gear, Inc. is asking customers who purchased any of the Micros boys' 100% cotton hooded sweatshirts from November 2007 to December 2007 to repair them by removing the drawstring. The hoodies came in black with a peace sign patch and an "MCC Micros" patch on the chest in silver with a silver stitched design on the front and in gray with skulls on the front, in boys' sizes SML to XL. Nordstrom has removed the drawstrings of its remaining stock and will continue to sell the sweatshirts. If your sweatshirt does not have a drawstring in the hood, it is not subject to this repair and can be used without further action taken.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued voluntary guidelines recommending against the use of drawstrings in hooded children's upper outerwear, which can lead to strangulation or other injuries. This recall/repair is being conducted voluntarily to prevent the possibility of injury.

Parents should immediately stop their children from using the hoody until the drawstring has been pulled out. Those who wish to return or exchange the hoody should take it to their nearest Nordstrom store.

Product Recall: Peachie Keen Reversible Fleece Zip Hoody

Seventy Two, Inc. is asking costumers who purchased any of the Bonafide Love brand reversible fleece zip hoodies from November 1, 2007, to December 10, 2007, to repair them by removing the drawstring. The hoodies came in a cement-colored robot pattern and a sage-colored hearts-and-stars pattern in girls' sizes S to XL. Nordstrom has removed the drawstrings of its remaining stock and will continue to sell both sweatshirts. If your sweatshirt does not have a drawstring in the hood, it is not subject to this repair and can be used without further action taken.

Nordstrom Recalls Taper and Votive Candles Due to Fire Hazard

Name of Product: Nordstrom At Home Taper and Votive Candles

Units: About 2,500

Importer: Nordstrom, Inc., Seattle, WA

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Hazard: The candle's exterior coating can ignite, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents/Injuries: Nordstrom has received four reports of flames or smoke coming from the candle or the exterior coating. One instance of property damage was reported but no injuries have been reported.

Description: This recall involves Nordstrom At Home 10-inch taper candles and Nordstrom At Home votive candles. The taper candles were sold under style numbers NR-07059G and NR-07059S. The votive candles were sold under style numbers NR-07001G and NR-07001S. The candles came in silver and gold and were sold in a box of six. The style number can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the packaging.

Sold at: Nordstrom stores nationwide from September 2007 through December 2007 for about $18 for the taper candles and about $12 for the votive candles.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using these candles immediately and return them to any Nordstrom store for a full refund.

CLARISONIC® Voluntary Safety Recall

CLARISONIC® is implementing a voluntary safety recall of the Skin Care Brush due to the fact that the CLARISONIC® Skin Care Brush can overheat and there is a potential for injury or even catching fire. It is an issue of electronic safety, not an issue of effect on the skin.

All Pink CLARISONIC® brushes and brushes in boxes marked "New Design Advanced Engineering" are new products that include advanced safety features and are not included in this recall.

If you purchased the CLARISONIC® Skin Care Brush from Nordstrom between March 2006 and July 2007, you may exchange it for a new one or a full refund, online or at any Nordstrom store.

Hazard: The jewel decorations may come off, posing a small parts hazard.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The sandal comes in Little Girls and Toddler sizes. It is tan and white with gold straps. There is an embossed "NORDSTROM" and flower pattern on the upper sole. Also, there are three metal decorative flowers above the toe slip that have colored jewels. Toddler sizes come with an ankle strap.

Sold: Online and in store February 2007 for $26.95.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately return the recalled item to Nordstrom.com or any Nordstrom store for a full refund.

CPSC and Nordstrom, Inc. Announce Recall of Kids' Pine Peak Blues Jackets

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately.

Name of Product: Pine Peak Blues Children's Jackets

Units: About 1,900

Importer: Nordstrom, Inc. Seattle, WA

Manufactured in: China

Hazard: The zipper pull can detach from the jacket's zipper, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: Nordstrom has received one report of the zipper pull detaching. No injuries have been reported.

Description: The recalled jackets were sold in Infant, Toddler and Youth sizes. They are navy colored and long sleeved. They have a zipper front with the flag of England embroidered on the left shoulder and an "England" patch on the left chest. There are two zipper front pockets in addition to the zipper front. "Pine Peak Blues" is printed on a label inside the jacket.

Sold: Nordstrom stores from November 2006 through April 2007 for about $35.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled jacket away from children and return it to any Nordstrom store for a full refund.
