NORDSTROM.COM PARTNERS WITH EMME TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH AN ONLINE OFFERING OF FASHIONABLE PLUS SIZE APPAREL FOR WOMEN
Emme is now available online, as well as in Nordstrom stores nationwide, strengthening the company’s multi-channel operation
SEATTLE, Wash. - September 12, 2000 - Nordstrom.com, the online specialty apparel retailer, today announced its partnership with Emme Associates Inc. and the launch of its online boutique dedicated to the EMME® clothing line. The collection is a fun and fashionable line designed for the 60% of American women who are a size 14 and above. Nordstrom.com will provide customers with the first online EMME® boutique which includes the entire fall EMME® Collection. Customers can shop the boutique by logging on to www.nordstrom.com/emme. Customers are also able to shop for EMME at select Nordstrom stores across the nation.
The EMME® Collection is designed as a wardrobe system which includes stylish, body-conscious pieces such as wrap blouses, cropped pants, camisoles and knits. The retail averages from $59 to $129 on separate tops and bottoms. The collection offers clean and contemporary silhouettes with core pieces crafted in earthy tones of granite, asphalt, and camel punctuated with layering pieces and separates in bolder brighter colors.

Nordstrom.com has previously offered plus-size apparel on the site, but the addition of the EMME® Collection expands the offering, giving customers a greater selection of fashionable merchandise to chose from.
