ROSEVILLE, CALIF. - August 9, 2001 - Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of leading fashion specialty retailer Nordstrom, Inc., today opens at Creekside Town Center in Roseville, California at 10:00 a.m. Nordstrom Rack offers customers savings of 30 to 75 percent on quality name brand merchandise. Creekside Town Center, located at 1196 Galleria Boulevard, is adjacent to the Galleria at Roseville where Nordstrom opened a full-line store last year.

Nordstrom Rack offers merchandise that has been transferred from Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com, as well as a wide selection of brand name apparel, shoes and accessories for the entire family. In addition to great value, customers will enjoy an on-site tailor shop, more than 25,000 pairs of shoes, and a wide selection of merchandise from which to choose.

To celebrate the opening, Nordstrom Rack is hosting a "Race for Values" at the Roseville store. The event offers one lucky shopper the chance to claim $2,000 worth of merchandise in a 90-second "race" around the store. "Race for Values" takes place prior to the store’s 10:00 a.m. opening. Customers may enter the "Race for Values" drawing between 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. today. The winning contestant must be 18 years of age or older and present to win.
